Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 large green cabbage
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic
  • ½ cup yellow onion diced
  • 3 carrots chopped
  • 4 cups bone broth
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: Kidney beans fire roasted tomatoes, additional vegetables (celery, bell peppers)

Instructions
 

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil in a large Dutch oven or pot over medium-high heat.
  • Sauté chopped onions, carrots, and minced garlic for 3-5 minutes until softened.
  • Move the vegetables to one side and add the ground beef, browning for 3 minutes on each side.
  • Mix the beef and vegetables together.
  • Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, chopped cabbage, and seasonings.
  • For stovetop, simmer for 30 minutes until cabbage is tender.
  • For Instant Pot, set to high pressure and cook for 15-20 minutes, allowing natural release for 5 minutes.
  • For slow cooker, cook on low heat for 5-6 hours.
  • Taste and adjust seasonings before serving.

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Reheating: Reheat on the stovetop with beef or vegetable broth to keep it moist.
