- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into small pieces
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil for frying
- 1 cup fresh orange juice about 4-5 oranges
- ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- ¼ teaspoon ginger powder
- ½ green onion finely chopped (optional)
- 1 tablespoon orange zest optional
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds optional
In a saucepan, combine ⅔ cup of orange juice with ½ cup of brown sugar. Add ¼ cup soy sauce and bring to a simmer. Optionally, add orange zest for more citrus flavor.
