- 250 gms bone-in chicken
- Fresh curry leaves
- Cumin seeds
- Red chillies
- Red chilli powder
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tomatoes chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 2 cups vegetable broth or chicken stock
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Heat sesame oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Sauté finely chopped onions until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and stir for 30 seconds.
Incorporate chopped tomatoes and spices.
Add the cooked chicken pieces.
Add water and pressure cook for one whistle. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Wait until the pressure goes down naturally.
